            The meeting was called to order by mobility vice president john Richie.

            Paul Laughlin led us in the pledge of allegiance.

            President Angela Guillory was attending a CIF meeting In Dallas, and will not be present.

            Secretary Karen cook read the minutes from the July meeting and they were approved.

            Paul ward gave a treasurers report and it was approved.

            Cope month is next month and we will be trying to sign up at least 15 new cope contributors.

            The bargaining caucus for the core agreement will be held November 17-20 in Dallas.  We have the bargaining proposal forms that will be handed out and please remember to place only 1 proposal per page.

            During the core bargaining caucus mobility orange will also be meeting on November 19 at the same location in Dallas.

            We are strongly suggesting that you do not acknowledge the code of business conduct.

            We have the outline for the new rewards system for retail if anyone would like to see it.

            We still have forms to fill out for the million member mobilization to support the employee free choice act.  These forms will be handed over to whoever is chosen as president of the United States.

            An arbitration case was won on the mobility side in Lubbock.  An employee was terminated and the arbitrator stated that the employee’s personal history was not reviewed and that the employee had been terminated unjustly.  The employee was returned whole.  This is a wonderful win.

            Mobility healthcare mediation broke down and now the next step will be arbitration sometime in September.

            Mobility pay raise arbitration is still set for September.

            The upcoming community fundraisers are the spaghetti dinner September 20th from 5pm-9pm.  It is $7.00 a plate and children under 5 eat free.  The whole meal is homemade.  The chili cook-off will be October 18th.  We still need judges for the competition.  If you would like to help with either of these events get with Cheryl Dawson.

            DON’T FORGET NEXT MONTH WILL BE OFFICER AND EXECUTIVE BOARD NOMINATIONS.

            GARVIN SPEED GAVE A COMMUNITY SERVICES REPORT AND IT WAS APPROVED.

            THE $100.00 DRAWING WAS WON BY DUDLEY GRIFFITH BUT HE WAS NOT PRESENT.  IT WILL BE $100.00 AGAIN NEXT MONTH.
