President
Angela Guillory:
My career with SWBT started in July of 1982 as a service representative in Wichita Falls, TX. In December of 1985 our office in Wichita Falls closed and consolidated with the office on Loop 820 in Fort Worth, I followed my work and moved. While in Fort Worth I became a steward but I soon realized the big city was not for me so in August of 1986 I returned to Wichita Falls as an operator. A few years later I finally got a chance to attend steward training.
In 1997 I became secretary while serving as secretary I started publishing the local newsletter The Unionizer. In August of 1999 I accepted a job with I&R as a CST at 1810 Holiday St where I am still working for the new at&t. August 2000 I assumed the office of Local Vice President when Bob Luney replaced Jimmy Cook as local President. Then in February of 2001 Bob Luney retired and resigned as president and I was chosen to serve as President for the remaining term. I have been honored to serve as Local 6200's President since then.
