John Richie:

John Richie has been with Cingular Wireless since February 1, 2001 after three months with Staffmark Temporary Employment Agency.  When he first came to Cingular he was assigned to the Boston Collections Group then was shortly assigned to the Outbound Collections Group making calls to the Boston, Upstate New York and Connecticut Markets.  After two and a half years he moved to the Resource Desk in work and training scheduling.  He is currently still working in that department.

John Richie joined the Union once he became a permanent employee on February 1, 2006 and has been active ever since.  He was elected as a Steward in August of 2001 then in 2002 during officer elections was elected to Vice-President of the Cingular Bargaining Unit.  During that time he has been to both weeks of the Week Long Leadership School and officer training.  During his first term he was appointed by Local President Angela Guillory to serve as co-chair of the local Health and Safety Committee and helped to facilitate information during contract negotiations in 2004.  He was appointed as a delegate to the Wichita Falls Trade and Labor Council (AFL-CIO CLC).  After contract negotiations he was appointed by Local President Angela Guillory to serve on the District 6 Health and Safety Committee.  He was re-elected Vice-President of the Cingular Unit in 2005 and elected to Vice-President of the Wichita Falls Trade and Labor Council.

John and his wife Jeanie have 2 children, Brady and Carter and live in Wichita Falls.
